The LEAGUE At Work

As a non profit school,  part of the LEAGUE’s mission is to ensure that every student in San Diego County has an opportunity to know about the possibilities of a career in tech, so we’re always eager to connect kids with professionals. We will be launching a new program to let students see how programmers, hardware engineers, scientists and other tech professions do their jobs, and we’d like your help.

If you work in a technology company, can you help us bring The LEAGUE to work?

It’s not just about programming! We are looking for professionals and companies that can teach, inform and inspire students in many tech topics:

  • Python
  • Java
  • Javascript
  • C / C++
  • Robotics
  • Soldering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Microcontrollers
  • Data Analysis
  • Web Applications
  • Phone Applications
  • Scientific Computing

How You Can Help

  • Professional Volunteers. No one communicates your passion like you do, and students with a technical inclination want to meet professionals, especially when you can directly engage in teaching them to code.  We are looking to make connections with companies whose employees want to teach students and speak to them about careers.
  • Free Hour of Tech classes @ Work. We teach free programming and technology classes all over San Diego, and we’d like to teach them at your company. If your company has an open conference room and employees eager to train the next generation of technologists, let’s run programming classes at your site.
  • Make an Introduction. If you aren’t sure what you and your company can do with The LEAGUE, you can make an introduction. You HR department many be looking for opportunities for your companies Volunteering program, and we’d love to provide some. Connect us with someone at your company, and we’ll to the rest.

If you’d like to bring The LEAGUE to work,  contact our Executive Directory Eric Busboom at eric.busboom@jointheleague.org, or 619-889-7571.
