OUR MISSION

The LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers is a non-profit after-school institution that teaches Java coding to kids in 5th-12th grade.

We are the only coding school that takes students through 10 levels of mastery – from beginner all the way to being a job-ready, certified Java programmer!

We seek specifically to reach more girls and underserved youth, so that children from all backgrounds may have access to acquire the skills and education necessary to contribute to the workforce of the 21st century. Computer science is rarely taught in public school systems, yet the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that one million programming jobs in the U.S. will be unfilled by 2020. The LEAGUE seeks to address this problem by teaching students to code, getting them interested at a young age so that they are more likely to pursue programming in college and in their careers.

Our curriculum ends with preparation for the Oracle Professional Certification Exam, which permits direct entry into the workplace upon high school graduation without requiring a college degree. Young students’ lives are positively impacted through the critical thinking skills and self-confidence they gain from learning computer programming at The LEAGUE!

WHY JOIN THE LEAGUE?

We aim to create a positive impact on all students by helping them develop critical thinking skills and self-confidence through learning computer programming. We seek specifically to reach more girls and underserved youth, so that children from all backgrounds can acquire the skills and education to contribute to the workforce of the 21st century.

Amazing Teachers

Our teachers are enthusiastic programmers, hardware and software professionals and robotics hobbyists. They are here to have fun too!
